Mystic Treasure: From Idea to Product
Mystic Treasure, a 100% decentralized Play-to-Earn and Learn-to-Earn RPG adventure game enhanced with simulation, officially announced the team behind the success of this monument blockchain game. Together, we will go on a journey to explore how the game was made from scratch.
Idea Concept
The idea of Mystic Treasure was simple. We want to make an educational game where players can enjoy, experience, learn, and finally, earn. Moving along with NFT, the earnings can not be excluded. And as an RPG adventure, the inspiration came from two major giants in the mobile game industry: Last Day on Earth Survival and Homescapes.
Players are allowed to build houses, and craft items, and instead of surviving the apocalypse, we want to have a brighter theme for both crypto and non-crypto players. “Let’s build a treasure hunt. We can not follow the footprints of those guys”, Steven Nguyen, Art Director said.
From the beginning, Mystic Treasure does not rely heavily on earning attributes as we want users to fully enjoy the game first. During our research, we found out that Learn-to-Earn is possibly going to be the next evolution of X-to-Earn activities in NFT Games in the Strategy Report of Huobi Research. Therefore, Mystic Treasure has an open future to develop and promote to different formats such as game shows, and TV shows for communities with no specific limit to Crypto.
Why don’t we make it in 3D instead of 2D?
The game idea originated from Winter, our CEO, and Steven, Art Director. At first, everyone thought it would look like pixelate old-school puzzle-solving, however, when Steven sketched it out, everyone began to realize the vision and start working on the prototype.
The 2D version was designated from the start as we can actively grow and expand on it faster rather than design and build meticulously. 2D games use flat graphics, called sprites, and don’t have three-dimensional geometry. They’re drawn to the screen as flat images, and the camera (orthographic camera) has no perspective.
In contrast, three-dimensional geometry is commonly used in 3D games, with Materials and Textures applied to the surface of game objects to make them appear as solid environments, characters, and objects in the game world. Mystic Treasure can be upgraded to 3D in the upcoming future as we can not resist the desire to make a better game for players.
